The Prelude to the 'Chasing The Dream Dance Showcase"

A day untouched by dance is a day draped in grey

Why should we leave regrets in our limited lives? After adolescence, many people seem to accept that unfulfilled dreams will remain as lifelong regrets. However, a group of dreamers with a passion for dance chose not to settle for this and decided to create a stage where dreams could come true. The "Chasing The Dream Dance Showcase," initiated by amateur dancer Ms. Cong Xiaoyun, took six months of meticulous preparation before it officially launched on August 26, 2023. The event was strongly supported by Zhiqiang, President of the Cambridge Chinese Association, along with a group of passionate amateur adult dancers and volunteers. The inaugural showcase was held at "The Foundry" in Cambridge and featured 12 dance performances. The performers, with an average age of over 50, came from various professions, including doctors, nurses, educators, and IT professions. With the help of many, Ms. Cong successfully hosted this dream-fulfilling journey, providing dancers with a platform to showcase their talents and realize their dreams.
